FCC indicates HTC HD mini due in North America

An FCC filing has revealed a version of the HD mini handset is due in North America with 3G network support. The approval only confirms the device can be sold in North America, and makes no indication of which carrier will sell it. Its supported bands could place it on the shelves of AT&T, Rogers, Bell or Telus, but the device can also be sold unlocked and contract-free, as HTC has been known to do.

At last check, the device runs on Windows Mobile 6.5.3 operating system. Being called a budget version of the HD2, the HG mini uses a 3.2-inch display and a 600MHz CPU. It has support for multi-touch input and has Sense UI preloaded. It was released overseas this month.
